Catamarans are one of the most successful innovative products in the yacht industry. According to Fraser, a leading global yacht company, sales of catamarans are gradually increasing. Among the most precious yachts for sale at Fraser, the spotlight is on its 34-meter-long catamaran, the Mousetrap.
This catamaran is designed specifically for global exploration and has undergone comprehensive refitting, transforming it into a brand-new yacht that offers potential owners the opportunity to live a luxurious nautical life.

Mousetrap, designed by the creative genius of internationally renowned naval architect VPLP Design, is a custom carbon fiber composite project exquisitely crafted by the prestigious French shipyard JFA Yachts. This vessel originates from its designer's visionary dreams, thereby earning it the title of the world's largest carbon fiber sailing catamaran.
Notably, the design of Mousetrap incorporates carbon fiber arches to support the mast, eliminating the need for columns in the main saloon and enhancing the visual spaciousness of the area. Moreover, due to its carbon fiber structure, the yacht's lightweight displacement improves performance, and its hydraulic winches and expansion engines enable high-speed cruising.

Mousetrap can accommodate 9 guests in 4 luxury cabins, boasting spacious open living spaces that rival those of large motor or sail yachts, with uninterrupted views from the aft cockpit to the main saloon. The front deck features a custom six-person Jacuzzi, complemented by an inviting lounging area and a discreet ladder for easy water access.
A large flybridge and a broad aft deck span the entire 14-meter beam, blending indoor and outdoor living, providing ample covered space for dining and relaxation. The multifunctional main saloon is equipped with wraparound sofas, a central bar, a formal dining table, and an office area, suitable for lounging, dining, and working. Mousetrap's hull is flat 90% of the time, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey.

Direct from the firsthand account of Fraser's broker, Georges Bourgoignie, one can glean the remarkable stability, sailing speed, and comfort experienced during the unforgettable voyage from Antigua to the Cayman Islands. After a day's work at the pub, with the boat sailing at speeds between 15 to 20 knots and the wind blowing at 20 to 25 knots, he recalls sitting there drinking a latte coffee while maintaining the utmost stability of the vessel. According to his description: "The noise is minimal, the comfort complete, which is unlike anything experienced in years of monohull sailing. The stability, speed, and comfort of a large catamaran will astound you."
Mousetrap was originally built in 2012 and underwent a major refit from 2021 to 2023, with the owner sparing no expense to restore it to a like-new state. The owner's dedication, coupled with the expertise of knowledgeable crew members and substantial capital investment, led to a series of improvements during the project period, ranging from integrating the most advanced machinery to updating the sails, as well as meticulous maintenance of the masts and rigging. The refit also extended to the installation of new teak decks, major painting tasks, and an overall refurbishment of all areas. Mousetrap is currently listed for sale at 19.5 million euros (approximately 150 million yuan according to the latest exchange rate).
