On June 30th, the Innovation Development Conference on Carbon Fiber Composite Materials was inaugurated in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province.
The theme of this conference was "Developing New Quality Production Capacity, Building a Carbon Fiber Hub and Leading the Future of the Industry". Nearly 300 experts and business representatives from the carbon fiber composite materials field across the country attended the event.
Zeng Bin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, an expert in structural engineering, and the chief scientist of China Minmetals Corporation; Zhang Xiangcheng, a researcher at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a fellow of the Royal Society of Industrial Science of the UK, a national-level high-level talent, and an advisor to the UK's National Department of Industry and Technology, all attended the relevant activities. They were joined by Shang Zhenjiang, the member of the municipal committee and the deputy mayor, who participated in the event.
The meeting pointed out that Lianyungang, as an important birthplace of the domestic carbon fiber industry with unique geographical advantages and solid industrial foundation, has cultivated a matrix of leading enterprises such as Zhongfu Shenying, Zhongfu Carbon Core, and Zhongfu Lianzhong. This has established a complete industrial chain covering raw fibers, carbonization, and composite material products.
The municipal committee and the municipal government have always regarded the carbon fiber industry as the core focus for fostering new quality productive forces. They have continuously strengthened policy provision, improved industrial support, and optimized the business environment to provide comprehensive support for enterprises' technological innovation and capacity expansion.
We hope that more enterprises will join hands with Lianyungang to deeply explore, relying on the local all-round industrial advantages for collaborative innovation, and jointly build a national carbon fiber industry development base.
